The rather strong high pressure from China covers upper Thailand. Outbreaks of summer storms, thunderbolt, gusty winds, hail and downpours are forecast for the North, the lower Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East. The upper South will have more rain.

       
People in upper country should stay safe from severe weather. Keep off unsecured building and outdoor and beware of crop damage. Affected areas are as following:

Northeast: Loei, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Si Sa Ket, and Ubon Ratchathani.

       
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Kamphangphet, Phitchit, and Phetchabun.

       
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

       
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Chai Nat, Uthai Thani, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom including Bangkok and its vicinity.

       
South Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

       
During 7-9 April, the strong easterly winds across the Gulf and the South with more rain and isolated downpours expected in the South. The wind waves in the Gulf and the Andaman becomes strong with 2-3 meters high. All ships in both seas should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore.
